RBL offer opportunities for young people who are interested in getting experience with a professional company both behind the scenes and on stage. We have several opportunities throughout the year to get involved in both our professional productions and youth theatre.
We will soon be announcing details about the intern programmes available in 2016. Interns are fully involved in our full scale productions, the rehearsal process and productions weeks. They treated as professional actors by the company and production team. Each intern is assigned a professional actor as their mentor. Mentors are there to answer questions, offer advice, watch drama school audition pieces and generally be a shoulder to lean on. You must be over 17 to be considered for an internship.
Please note there is no fee to take part in our professional productions but these internships are unpaid positions. We therefore make every effort to work around your schedules and part time jobs. However we rehearse 9am - 6pm so are not able to work around a full time job. The more time you can give to the project the more you will get out of it so please think hard about whether you can commit to the production before you audition.
If you are interested in auditioning please contact email@example.com.
In the past we have worked with a number of interns in various stage management positions, including assistant stage managers, sound and costume. If you would like to gain more experience in the technical side of theatre please get in touch.
Some interns join us in production week and some join us for rehearsals. These positions are unpaid but we are able to work around your other work commitments as much as possible. If you are interested in applying for a technical internship please get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org.
